History of the Labor Party

The newest major political party in Parliament, the Labor Party was formerly part of the Abwehran Progressive Party until approximately around AF 200. During this point in Abwehran History, the Abwehran culture was slowly shifting from an individualistic work culture to a collectivistic work culture. This meant the corporation/company was coming before the individual. Many of the Progressives that saw themselves as populists began to abhor was they were seeing.

In order to curb this, they broke from the Abwehran Progressive Party to create their own Labor Party and began to claim themselves as “Champions of the People”. While they have been the smallest of the major political parties, they still hold considerable political power through the use of demagogues and 'alternative' political strategies.

Party Platform

The Labor Party's platform is almost entirely domestic and they tend to let their party members “vote their hearts” upon Foreign issues. This has often led to the saying “As Mercenary as a Laborite.”
