| None | This category is for items that no ability to absorb or mitigate damage |
| Very Light Armor | This particular category mostly relates to armor used in body armor or as inserts in fighters. |
| Light Armor | Light Armor is a step up from very light armor and is found used in body armor, light vehicles, and as secondary plating for combat vehicles. |
| Medium Armor | Medium Armor is a cross between light and heavy armor, found exclusively on combat vehicles or as inserts behind heavy armor. |
| Light Medium Armor | Light Medium Armor, or LMA, is armor that is unique because it isn't designed to take the same punishment as real medium armor. This particular armor mostly relates to transparent armored materials or windows on warships and vehicles. |
| Heavy Armor | Heavy Armor is a type of armor found on warships and heavy vehicles, such as tanks and heavy starfighters. Heavy Armor is very tough and difficult to break and is typically the first line of defence on heavier ships. |
