Na-M/M-01 'Victory Vat'

Overview

History

NAM's Victory Vats were inspired by old Sol Confederation tales from the days of old where civilians were encouraged to grow their own food during wartime in communal gardens, to allow the nation's main Food production to go to the war effort. The gardens were, for the most part, a resounding success. Unfortunately, Nepleslia, and many of its planets, lack the massive amounts of space needed for its citizens to do such a thing. Thus, the Na-M/M-01a Victory Vat was born in the depths of NAM's MedTech division.

The Vat

The Victory Vat is constructed from a light-weight titanium alloy. The size of the Vat varies from model to model. It looks like a large gunmetal pill, and comes with an adjustable stand to allow different positions to fit in any space. It is opened via a sliding door on the side of the device to allow chemicals to be poured in. To actually get the food out, the Vat can swing open on a hinge.

How it works

The Victory Vat is a cheap, yet effective, chemical mixing and structuring apparatus, allowing users to easily create synthetic foods in innumerable shapes and flavors. The vat works by adding in various chemicals, which can be mixed by hand or by the machine. Once the chemicals have been added and combined to the users satisfaction, they are then either cooked by the Vat (which contains integral heating elements), or can be done so in another device if so desired. If the foodstuff requires further preparation than simply cooking it, the Vat is also capable of creating certain structures of the Food, such as cubes, patties, noodles, and even spheres. Although it comes fully equipped with plenty of chemicals for foodstuff synthesis, numerous other chemicals can be used, or refills can be acquired from NAM.
