Often located adjacent to a starship or installation command center, or outside of a computer chamber, the computer control room serves as a location in which command staff, engineering crews, and other authorized personnel can access the core functions of the computer systems in which the control room is tied to. Computer control rooms also include an ARIA interface, allowing for an ARIA unit to interface with the computing systems of a ship or installation. Computer control room access is limited to authorized personnel, and access is regulated by various security systems, as well as built-in anti-personnel systems which are meant to neutralize intruding individuals in the event of attempted sabotage or other tampering. Computer control rooms are furnished with simple workstation chairs, and include extensive interface equipment to allow for ease of working with a given computer system.
