Ra'alu Ruo'sa (Prisoner Room)

The Holding Areas are places for holding Ra'alu prisoners. They are featured on most Poku Saeruo Degonjo vessels. They can be used for holding crew members who are being disciplined, or for prisoners captured during a hunt.

Sections

All holding areas have an Overseer station, and a number of holding cells.

Overseer Station

This is where the Qaktoro responsible for watching the prisoners monitors them. Typical configuration is a room with a Makoa Kâbo'ka (Work Console), which has video monitors that allow the Overseer to observe the prisoners, and they can listen to them as well.

The entrance to the area where the actual holding cells are is a security door. It leads to a corridor where two or more holding cells are located.

Holding Cells

These are the actual rooms where prisoners are kept. Cells come in two types, but they share the following features:

Individual

A single holding room is obviously meant for a single prisoner.

Dimensions are 4 meters deep, by 3 meters wide. The entrance is a Anomu Wunyte (Security Door) with a Mâqitua'tomin (Transparent Light Metal) panel.

In the room the bed is mounted on the right side of the room. The commode and water dispenser are behind the bed on the back wall. To the left of the door is where food is passed to the prisoner. It is located on the floor so that trays can be pushed in.

The ceiling is a thin layer of Mâqitua'tomin (Transparent Light Metal) with lighting mounted above it.

Group

Cells typically hold 6-8 prisoners. Beds are aligned along the back wall. The commode is positioned behind a half wall to provide privacy from the other prisoners. Although it can be monitored by the Overseer Station.

Dimensions: 5 meters deep, 6 meters wide.

A table is mounted on the front wall just right of the door. Food is pushed in through a slot onto the table.
