The Poku Wotanu'ka, Defender of the Clan, a military position in the Poku Saeruo Degonjo.
The Defender is charged with overseeing the defense of the clan. This means overseeing and maintaining the Wotanu Abokatinka Poku (Clan Defense Fleet), as well as space fortifications like the Watcher Stations and Way Stations. The Defender also consults on the defense of Clan Colonies formed as part of the Otâgo'iâmai (New Worlds) project.
Ships that are privately owned by individual Ruokai (Houses) may be drafted by the Defender in times of crisis or war; these ships are honor-bound to follow his commands, and the commands of his rightfully-appointed subordinates.
