Gulvisalapur (Sashblade)

The Gulvisalapur is a weapon used by members of the Poku Saeruo Degonjo who use the Tuima-daho'te (Dance Fighting) style.

The Gulvisalapur consists of a small tapered single or double blade that is attached to a sash by means of a woven cord with wire strands for strength. It is used to slash or stab, intended for precision hits. For starting individuals the blade has no edge, but it can still injure. In the hands of an adept or master the blade can strike with almost surgical accuracy.
