The Hub is a series of douzens of gates, linked in a circular formation around a Rift Generator anchoring beacon. Only a handful of these gates are permanently active; most of them lead to formerly stable regions that decayed into unstable ones due to the ever-shifting nature of the Blue Rift expanse. While the use of Rift Generators makes stabilization of these zones possible, most remain left to decay due to a lack of value to justify the building and maintenance of a generator.
Many of these gateways are temporary, being used to connect to mobile gateway-tugboat vessels used to explore new regions of the expanse.
