The Azorean Global Network (AGN) is the primary media and communication source for the Azorean society. Due to the fact that physical media (newspapers, magazines, etc.) does not hold up well underwater, the Azoreans have had to rely completely on virtual media. Thus, the AGN was created using cables underneath the ocean floor to connect each and every citystate. Transmitting data became much easier and more accurate, especially after the several solar and hydro-powered relay stations were constructed. These are unmanned and require very little maintenance. Satellites can also be used to bounce radio signals over to the other side of the planet. The AGN eventually was given an interface much similar to that of the Internet. Although a bit slow, the AGN did its job in bringing news and information to the Azorean people.
