Unlike Civilian Transports, Military Transports need the power to move lots of cargo and personnel at high accelerations. Because of this, many Military Transport Engines are similar to Cruiser Fusion Engines than their civilian counterparts. The Military Transport Fusion Engine was developed in AF 260 (YE 31) to meet these requirements.
Accelerations are based on reaching Maximum Attainable Velocity in 30 minutes of strike craft and one hour for starships(*).
