A specialized coil wrapped in a protective, open-ended cylinder of depleted uranium, an Abwehran Ion Coil specifically draws Hydrogen Atoms in and traps them for use in both Ion Engines and Ion Cannons. Ionizing the hydrogen atoms for their purpose, the Ion Coil can hold enough hydrogen ions to power an engine for eight months and a cannon for 100 streams.
