Laser Scalpel Pen

A small ten centimeter long device with a small focusing lens, the Laser Scalpel Pen is smaller version of the hospital Laser Scalpel. Created in the Second Quarter of AF 260, or YE 32, the Laser Scalpel Pen is connected to a box-like device via a cable that is able to be strapped onto the user's arm. This Box is where the 4' x 4' Nuclear Battery is attached and also has a reel where up to 120 centimeters (4 feet) of cable is stored.

The Laser Scalpel Pen was designed to be durable enough for field use and enables Combat Medics to cauterize battle wounds to stop bleeding. This allows for patients to be evacuated to field hospitals or even the Medical Facilities on board starships. The Laser Scalpel is also available for Field Surgeons to perform quick surgery upon patients.
