A large, multi-room facility responsible for maintaining the health of a vessel's crew, the Medical Bay is normally divided into four rooms. The first and main room is the general examination/treatment room which deals with a variety of minor cases and acts as triage in cases of emergency. This main room normally has a number of beds ranging from four to a maximum of twelve depending on the size of the vessel it's on. There is also a medical closet with a password-protected lock that contains medicines and sterilized surgical tools.
The second room is a semi-enclosed office space for the Chief Medical Officer on board the vessel. This room includes a desk with built-in computer as well as two chair on opposite sides of the desk from each other so the Doctor can have a personal discussion with a patient.
The third room is a single occupancy examination/treatment room for individuals who need privacy during their visit. This normally is needed for nude examinations and treatments involving one being in the buff.
The fourth and final room is a sterilized, fully-enclosed, Operation Room which is necessary for complex surgeries.
A Abwehran Fire Suppression Locker is located near the entrance.
