Normally located between an Abwehran Standard Shuttle Bay / Standard Hangar Bay and the Ship's Medical Facilities, a Decontamination Room is a UV-lamp-lit room with two rows of six Decontamination Showers. Each Shower is enclosed in a hermetically-sealed, clear plastic, enclosure with medical sensors to check for any contaminates in both the air and the waste that is rinsed off in the chemical shower.
The Decontamination Room has two Standard Airlocks and is hermetically sealed from the ship. There is also a depository to the left of the entrance to the Abwehran Standard Shuttle Bay / Standard Hangar Bay to deposit environmental equipment so that they may be scrubbed before they are replaced in their proper storage units.
