Created for space warfare, a Battle Group is the Offensive component of an Abwehran Fleet. With a core squadron of Battleships, the majority of a Battle Group lies in the single squadron of Battlecruisers, three squadrons of Cruisers, two squadrons of Raiders, and three squadrons of Escort Destroyers. A Battle Group can be divided into three Task Forces. Each Task Forces is led by a single Battleship and appropriate amount of escorts for their mission, which allows a Battle Group considerable flexibility. The two squadrons of Raiders are left detached from the Task Forces. A Battle Group is commanded by a Vizeadmiral.
