A state-sponsored paramilitary organization, the Foreign Service allows trained soldiers to be hired by corporations, individuals, and friendly nations for any type of duty. While advertised as retired military personnel from the Abwehran Armed Forces (AAF), many of the Foreign Service personnel are actually reservists or active military personnel placed into reserve in order for more hands-on training. The extra credits doesn't hurt either.
The following sections detail the organization of the Service and its personnel.
The majority of personnel in the Foreign Service are placed into a Pool, which can be drawn from to fill temporary groups for jobs. However, there is always a permanent Corp of personnel assigned to the Foreign Service. While individuals in that Corp may be transferred out upon request of either the individual or the individual's branch, the Organization itself will always be a permanent fixture in the Foreign Service.

Information on hiring Foreign Service personnel can be found in the Hiring Guide.
Personnel of the Foreign Service are still paid from their respective branches of service (whether active or reserve). However, they are also given an additional percentage of pay based upon their rank and the type of job. Freelancer agents that join the Foreign Service get a monthly wage of 5000 credits and an additional 3% from jobs.
