The .460 HHG is designed and produced by Deidre Kirsty NicAlasdair in limited quantities since YE 33 as a custom HHG over the standard .45 HHG version. Despite having been made for close to eight years, the .460 remains a rare, and expensive occurrence on the general market. As it is a custom job, persons interested or having heard of this weapon should contact Deidre for more information on getting one of these revolvers.
The .460 is first and foremost a customized version of the .45 HHG. It fires a much larger bullet, a custom .460 magnum revolver round. While the 'true' version of the venerable and dangerous HHG has proven itself time and again as a worthwhile weapon. Deidre, as a weaponsmith took it upon herself to try and design an even more dangerous version. Built upon the same principals, the .460 holds to the varied firing modes attributed to the HHG.
The extra-large frame, the six-shot cylinder, and barrel are made from brushed Durandium Alloy to better withstand the monstrous forces exerted when using two of the more powerful firing modes. The electromagnetic rails are sandwiched between the twin layered barrel to protect it from the ravages of the standard ammunition with micronized vents for air-cooling of the rails. The capacitor for the hybrid and mass driver modes is held within the handle. The capacitor is about the size of a standard C-cell battery. It can be switched out when fully expended by a switch on the back of the grip where it can be popped out and another taking its place.
The grip panels themselves are fully customizable, however, they are typically made of treated and patterned Francian “Hellwood”3). These Hellwood panels are fairly expensive but none the less beautiful thanks to its almost blood-colored wood and dark, braided grain. Other options include standard rubber no-slip grips or patterned Francian Mammoth Ivory4). It is equipped with standard iron sights but can modded for red dot, telescopic, or laser sights at buyers request.

The cylinder is mounted on a pivot that is coaxial with the chambers, and the cylinder swings out and down allowing loading and unloading. In double-action, the stroke of the trigger pull generates two actions: the hammer is pulled back to the cocked position while the cylinder is being indexed to the next round, and then the hammer is released to strike the firing pin. While this results in a harder pull of the trigger it does provide increased safety vs accidental discharges from being dropped.
To fire the weapon, the firer need only pull the trigger.
Field Maintenance Procedure: Wipe and clean after every mission, taking care to scrub the barrel and cylinder down.
