Zen Armaments .357 Submachine Gun

With the break out of the latest war, Zen Armaments saw the need for new war materials as well as new avenues of profit. Their Zen Armaments 10mm Submachine Pistol had served its purpose over the years and became widespread throughout the Democratic Imperium. However Zen, never to lag behind their competition has a new offering to both militaries and public alike, the .357 SMG.

Vector-Delayed Blowback, Closed-Bolt

Vector-Delayed Blowback utilizes an articulated mechanism which allows the block and bolt to recoil off-axis into a recess behind the weapon's magazine well. The recoil is redirected down and away from the shoulder unlike most firearms which tend to recoil into it. This produces less muzzle climb and recoil forces typically attributed to standard firearms.

The frame is made of light-weight ceramics to cut down on overall carry weight but maintain a degree of durability. The fore grip only swings down halfway as there is only an inch of clearance between magazine and grip.

The barrel is typical of most Submachine Guns but can also be threaded for the addition of a silencer.

Weapon Sight: Flip-up Iron Attachment Hard Points: One rail is provided for optics. Stock and Grip: Both are foldaway for portability. The fore grip only folds down halfway. The variant does not have a stock but maintains the fore grip.

Field Maintenance Procedure: Wipe and clean after every mission, taking care to scrub the barrel down and all moving parts.
