Bjornskald Rounds

Ammo designed by Egwene Tai for use in the Bjornskald Coilgun. It was, obviously, made by the same person at the same time as the Bjornskald.

The ammo is a relatively small dart designed far more for surviving the thermal impact of it's velocity than density, as the speed at which it travels deals the majority of the damage anyway.

• Damage Description: Fired in one of two phases, each with differing impact capabilities.
  • Upon manned armour, the dart vaporises on impact from the kinetic force and imparts a superheated pressure wave into the crew compartment to turn them into burned hamburgers. This phase does surprisingly little damage to the machine itself.
  • The second phase is for unmanned armour. This dart fires at a lower velocity to ensure that it transfers far more energy into the structure of the thing than the first phase's dart, causing massive structural damage to the target area, tearing a large hole and melting the internal components.
• Effective Range: 4km in atmosphere (Though tends to tumble off target after 1km), effectively unlimited in space.
