Conventions are events where like-minded individuals come together, usually for a weekend, for fun and to meet, discuss, and celebrate their fandoms. They are also fertile grounds for making friends and sharing Star Army; for example, Wes met Kim at a convention and she went on to become one of the site's most notable members.
