 The battle started with a strike group lead by the [[stararmy:starships:yss_heitan]] in Operation Dam Breaker. The Heitan's strike group mission to to neutralize NMX Command and Control facilities at the blockade. Once that was done a second wave of 2XF forces would engage the enemy. The plan was to draw the forces of the NMX towards the 2XF and then the larger force of [[stararmy:fleets:sixth_fleet|6SF]] ships would attack them from behind.
