====== Neshaten Division of Education ====== ====== Neshaten Division of Education ======

-The [Neshaten Division of Education is the department of the government that handles all manners of education related to the KingdomTheir main area of concern is education, from public schools to those run by private enterprise and even military oriented ones+The Division of Education is a department within the Kingdom's government that is responsible for overseeing the Educational needs of the citizens. It is overseen by eight private citizens and a lord, that lord is currently J'vaste Ne'ushae and the division headquarters is found in location:neushae.
 +
 +The division is separate from the rest of the government to ensure that proper education is pursued by citizens and that there are little to no restrictions in what a citizen can learn, this was done so that in the event of a tyrannical monarchy, that monarchy can't easily 'stop' a citizen from being educated.
 +
 +While all schools are public, they are all privately funded.
 +
 +===== History =====
 +
 +Unlike other divisions, the Division of Education actually has a history starting from back during the days of the Federation. Back then, the Depart of Education - as it was known - was fully under the control of the Federation and its government, this caused a number of issues to arrise both before and during the Great War; these issue included the restriction of educational material that the department deemed troublesome or dangerous for students to learn, while at the same time propagating propaganda material to keep citizens loyal while also hiding the Federations own problems, at the same time the department would also rewrite historical events to cast either themselves in a better light or to cast their enemies in a worse light.
 +
 +This was a point of contention for many students and their families, and is a reason why the Department of Education fell out of favour as the Great War progressed onward and was eventually abolished a short while before the Great Exodusin doing so Federation citizens were able to learn just how ruthless their enemy was and just how much their own government was trying to hide from them.
 +
 +It was for this reason, amongst others, why when the Kingdom of Neshaten was established; the first ever monarchy choose to make the Division of Education a separate entity, whose people reported only to the citizens and not to the monarchy. The Division was originally in the Capital city, but after the establishment of Ne'ushae City it was moved there and later on the city created a new kind of curriculum that was tested in the city and later adopted by the Kingdom.
 +
 +===== She'sha Curriculum =====
 +
 +The She'sha Curriculum is a set of goals and guidelines that schools and teachers are taught and advised to follow, they were tested and found to be effective.
 +
 +   * Teaching about the differences between Shukaren and My'leke, prepares students for co-ed classes after preparatory school (Pre-school) and continues onward even into elementary school.
 +   * Reading and Writing, ensures that students know how to properly read and write at their grade level.
 +   * Arithmetic, ensures that students know their mathematics for their assigned grade level.
 +   * Military and safety drills, students are taught how to protect themselves in the event of an invasion of their world or an attack on their city, or even just how to protect themselves if they are attacked while walking home.
 +   * History and Laws, students are taught their countries history - from the very beginning, to the present, along with the laws.
 +   * Students are taught to help one another out, as classes graduate together and not on an individual student bases, thus the students are instructed in how to help one another out.
 +   * Work Ethics and preparations, students are taught what it is they nee to know to survive in the work place, what is expected of them, and what safety precautions they should take.
 +
 +==== She'ha Curriculum ====
 +
 +This type of Curriculum is slightly different and designed to help students with educational problems, such as slow learning or mental or emotional issues that make learning at their grade level more difficult than a student who doesn't have these problems. These students are not segregated and are not placed in seperate classes, instead teachers encourage a problem students classmates to assist, while providing that student with additional help both before and after school.
 +
 +She'ha is not restricted to just problem students, any student can undertake these curriculum either to help themselves or to help others.
 +
 +===== Education Levels =====

-They have oversight of private and military schoolsand for the most part, control over publicThey are responsible for ensuring that all schools, however, teach policies that curb racial tensions. In order for a person to set up a school, they must go through the DoE's Board of Education, which looks over the plan and the location of the school and then the board helps to ensure the start up school receives the materials or funds if needed. They also help to make sure that there an even number of schools in the kingdom, enough to ensure that there is very little to no overcrowding and that classrooms remain at a small enough level so that teachers can teach their students without problems.+There are three different levels of educationwith only one being compulsory.
 +
 +==== Sh'ishen ====

-For the most partthe DoE can't say 'no' to new schoolsnot without a very good reason+This level of education is compulsory and starts when the Kit is age fivealthough can also start a bit later or even earlier. Students are taught everything from basic to advanced arithmeticlanguage, social studies, history and science. At the same time, they also get involved in physical education, home economics, music, career technical training, military preparedness training.

-Though the DoE has oversight of private and military academies, they can't order them to really do or build anything. However, despite this, majority of privately and military run schools that the DoE has no control over, agrees with the curbing of racial problems between Shukaren and My'leke.+Sh'ishen is comprised of grades one through seven.

-===== Education Curriculum =====+==== I'oshen ====

-The EC is a set of goals and teachings that all public schools, for the most partmust followPrivate and Military run schools have their own curriculums to use. Basically the curriculum states what a student is required to know on a per grade basis.+This level of education is optional and starts when the Kit is twelve years of agethis education is comprised of grades eight through twelveThese students learn much higher forms of education than their Sh'ishen counterparts.

-The Curriculum is very flexible, which means that teachers can often times save parts of it to be taught later in the school year or for it to be taught earlier. +==== Jui'ashen Level ====

-Public schools are required to have certified technical fields, areas of the work place that are taught in the school. When a student starts learning these technical fields depends greatly on the school, some schools start when the kid is only eightothers ten.+Jui'ashen refers to a student who is a student at a technical or higher education based schools, Jui'ashen are students learning advanced forms of education.

-Public schools are required to follow this curriculum:+===== Special Electives =====

-  - Teaching about My'leke and Shukaren Differences, prepares student for co-ed classes after preparatory school (IE: Pre-school) and continues onward into elementary school. +Electives are classes designed by the Division of Education to provide students with activities that they can performsome of these electives are considered sports, such as archery and tend to lead to large scale planet and even Kingdom wide tournaments
-  - Reading and Writing, ensures the student knows how to properly read and write. +
-  - Mathematicsensures the student knows the needed level of math for the outside world, more advanced forms are taught in college and university levelbasic form is required in preparatory and elementayr levels. +
-  - Proper safety concerns, kids are taught how to protect themselves, from the use of their hands and feat, to weapons such as swords, to guns such as pistols and rifles. +
-  - History and Laws, teaches students about their Kingdoms laws, and about the past, to ensure that mistakes of the past aren't repeated. +
-  - Work ethics and preparation, students are taught what it is they need to know to survive in the work place, what is expected of them, and what safety precautions they should take+

-On the other hand, private and military can create their own curriculumsCurriculums in non-public related schools are the property of those schoolsso the DoE can't say what they can and can't teach, however, there is a strong emphysis on helping to reduce racial problems+Other electives are not sports, but are actually classes that help students out in other fieldsSome of which includes the working fieldwhere students can gain invaluable experiences which will help them after they've graduated

-===== Segregation =====+One elective, which is present in all schools and is actually considered a sport, is known as a Wartime Preparedness Elective.

-The Neshaten have a policy of segregating Shukaren and My'leke children ages six and below. This is as a stop-cap measure to help reduce the possibilities of racial or misunderstanding from occuring between Shukaren and My'leke kits when they first meet. The segregation gradually lessons as the student gets older and progresses through early childhood education.+==== Wartime Preparedness ====

-This kind of a policy isn't looked at as bad, and is something they've carried over from the past, and has been active for several thousand years and has never let them down. Typically, most kits are able to handle being with a My'leke or a Shukaren by age sixothers youngerit actually depends on the actual kit themselves and how well their family prepares them.+A special elective found in most schoolsthis particular elective takes military training and safety to an entirely new level by allowing students access to actual military equipment and teaching those students how to properly use that equipment. Students can also get involved in flag exercises run by the Navywhether they be groundair, or even space based. This elective is commonly attended by students in the Youth Corps

 +This type of elective also pits school against one another in a tournament style like game((Think Girls Und Panzer)), which helps to teach the students more about how to properly handle their equipment while also teaching them valuable teamwork and leadership skills.

 +While deemed important, the elective is rather restrictive in that it won't permit students who have a criminal record from joining. Wavers can be signed by the courts, but the student would be under a lot of supervision.
