The main function for this drone is to be a small piloted drone that could more easily and remotely access areas that required either fixing or, potentially, sabotage.

The Maintenance drone prototype was a repurposed Remote Medical Drones. Nan threw out all the medical junk and added some EM-J5 Flying Assistant Robot Series (FARS) arms. An arc cutter, a light duty arm and a converted light duty arm with an Ulti-Tool Multiple Purpose Tool attached.

Once satisfied with the overall utility he created a more ellipsoid body made of a heavy duty resin with a more traditional propeller based technology. He kept the arms as is and the RMD's spider-like styled legs.
